The Mayor of Todmorden, Cllr Ruth Coleman-Taylor, had her first Covid vaccination this morning at Todmorden Health Centre.  Her husband, Cllr Mick Taylor, took this photograph with the permission of the Health Centre staff concerned.

Ruth said “The process was quick, efficient and painless. I don’t own a car so I was so glad to be able to come to the Health Centre in Todmorden rather than go to some distant medical centre. The staff were well-organised and very helpful.”

The latest advice is for over-70s to contact the NHS and book their vaccination. Cllr  Coleman-Taylor said ” I hope that the NHS will take account of the fact that many older people are not car-owners and need to be given appointments at places they can access by public transport.”
