Dementia Friendly Todmorden (DFT) has been active in our community since 2014. It was set up by a small group of wonderful volunteers with either professional or lived experience caring for those with Dementia in a bid to reduce the stigma surrounding the illness and raising awareness of it.
Wonderful volunteers have kept DFT running to this day, winning awards along the way and gaining ‘Dementia Friendly Town’ status for Todmorden from the Alzheimer’s Society.
DFT delivers services and initiatives that make a real difference to those living with Dementia, their families and their friends. Please come along on 18 March to show your support for DFT’s volunteers and it’s service users.
