Todmorden Town Council wants you to send in your nominations for the 2026 Service to Todmorden Awards.

Our annual awards scheme is back, honouring individuals and organisations that have demonstrated outstanding commitment and service to the community of Todmorden.

The awards are presented over 3 categories:

  • Young Person (Under 18)
  • Individual
  • Organisations

Nominees in each category should have displayed exemplary service or actions, surpassing the ordinary call of duty, ultimately benefitting the Todmorden community.

Individuals and organisations eligible for nomination must be based in Todmorden, though consideration will be given to regional or national groups that have undertaken projects directly benefitting Todmorden residents.

 

The 2025 Service to Todmorden Award winners were:

Individual – Jim Haughey of Vale Baptist Church, for his unwavering commitment to Cornholme and it’s residents.

Organisation – Dementia Friendly Todmorden, for their dedication to improving the lives of those in Todmorden with Dementia, and their loved ones.

 

Nominations for the 2026 Service to Todmorden Awards can be submitted via this online form. We also have a downloadable version of the form.

Paper copies will be available in Todmorden Library soon.

The deadline for submitting nominations to the Town Council is 5pm on Friday 23rd January 2026. A review of the nominations will be conducted by the Full Town Council on 18th February 2026, with the winners set to be honoured at the Mayor’s Day ceremony on 16th May 2026.
